[/column] [column col=”2/3″] [space height=”20″] Tarn Hows, in between Coniston and Hawkshead, is a very popular location with walkers and photographers. This picturesque tarn has been managed by the National Trust since Beatrix Potter, the author of Peter Rabbit, bequeathed it to them in her will. It’s stunning all year round whether it’s a calm Autumn morning or vibrant mid-summer with this shot of a young girl admiring the dramatic views across Tarn Hows to the distant mountains beyond, including Scafell Pike and the Langdale Pikes.
