You are here: > New Electric Bike Network around the Lakes

Exploring the tranquil hills and peaceful lakes of the Lake District just got a whole lot easier. The Electric Bicycle Network working with the Park Authority have introduced a network of electric bike hire and charging points across the Lake District. *UPDATE – The Lake District network has been expanded and now covers parts of the Western Lake District. With the powerful assistance of an electric bike means no more straining up the hills. You can hire bikes at a number of hire/charge points or book your cycle in advance with your valid rail ticket. Costs vary from £5 for a ‘taster’ session, to around £30 for a full day, depending on location. If you run out of battery or need a top-up, you can use one of the 40 Electric Bike Network charge points at tourist attractions, cafes and restaurants. So you can recharge your (and your bikes) batteries over lunch. [space height=”20″]
