[/column] [column col=”2/3″] [space height=”20″] Over to the wilder side of the Lake District is England’s deepest lake, Wastwater, at 79 meters deep. Located in Wasdale, a valley in the western part of the Lake District, it is one of the finest examples of a glacially ‘over-deepened’ valley. Surrounded by dramatic mountains and steep inclines Wastwater will provide ample opportunity for capturing this wilder side looking towards Great Gable, Kirk Fell, and England’s highest mountain Scafell Pike. Wastwater is easily accessible from the west coast of the Lake District and definitely worth the scenic trip. Location: 54.43331,-3.315868 [/column] [space height=”0″]
