Meaning ‘covered in snow’, the Nevache Valley arguably boasts the most snow in the Southern Alps and is the perfect location for a challenging snowshoe expedition. The charming village of Nevache has plenty of original alpine chalets, and a superb 15th Century church of Saint Marcellin. Accessing such remote mountainous terrain is a tough physical challenge, but your efforts will be constantly rewarded with inspiring panoramic views as far as Chamonix, the Cerces range and the Ecrins National Park.

This is a small group adult holiday. The group is usually between 4 and 16 in size, with an average of 12 like-minded clients booking individually, in a couple or as friends together.
All active winter holidays involve some element of risk; from something as normal as slipping on icy pavements, to the possibility of injuries sustained as a result of the activities themselves. While we do all we can to minimize any dangers, participants must be prepared to accept some risk as part of the holiday. Snowshoes are adaptable to fit most trekking boot sizes, however if you wear larger than UK size 12 boots (US13 or EU47) please let us know at the time of booking. We will then be able to confirm if we can provide suitable snowshoes for you.
