Description

Travel the iconic Atlantic Highway that links the population centres of Molde and Kristiansund. This dramatic highway zigzags across low bridges that jut out over the sea and links together small coastal communities of the area. The road was chosen as ‘Norway’s construction of the century’ in 2005. This 7-day / 6-night fly-drive itinerary begins and ends in the former Hanseatic League trading port of Bergen. During the middle ages, Bergen was one of the most important cities of the Hanseatic League when Saxon merchants settled in the quarter of the town known as Bryggen. Today, this part of the town, Stifeltsen Bryggen, is on Unesco’s list of world heritage sites.
